We Call It Home

No longer visible but its message of bureaucracy and gentrification still very much important. Celebrating the resilience of Vera Coking and her storied nail property that stood strong during trumps development of Atlantic City, this homage was painted on another nail property on the north side of Atlantic City in the shadow of the Ocean Casino. While painting this I stayed with close friends across the empty lots in another Nail property owned and lived in by Charlie “Tuner” legendary Atlantic City piano tuner who was fighting to keep his property the same way Vera Coking was.
